Selling a Car Privately
If you are selling your car privately or are planning to do so, you will need to make sure that the car is deregistered from the original owners name and successfully transferred to the new owner.
In order to do so there are two forms that need to be completed and handed in to your nearest licencing department. The forms are the Notification of change of ownership / sale of motor vehicle (Form NCO), and the Application for registration and licencing of motor vehicle (Form RLV).
The buyer and seller need to fill in the Notification of change of ownership / sale of motor vehicle (Form NCO), and the buyer has to fill in the Application for registration and licencing of motor vehicle (Form RLV) in order to get the vehicle registered in the new owners name, and both of these forms then need to be submitted.

What an amazing service! My car licence was way overdue and I simply did not have the time to go and get it renewed. ChatBack came up as an advert and I thought I would give them a try.
