Common questions

How does ChatBack on WhatsApp work?
Send your vehicle's registration number, tare weight and licence expiry date on WhatsApp. ChatBack returns a quote and secure payment link. After payment, share your ID and proof of address. ChatBack submits the renewal and the new disc is delivered to you.
Is this an official South African government service?
No. This site is an independent information resource. We list participating post offices and partner with ChatBack for WhatsApp-based renewals. All renewals are processed through the official eNaTIS system.
What documents do I need to renew my vehicle licence?
Your South African ID (or passport and permit), proof of residence not older than three months, and your renewal notice or current licence disc.
What if my vehicle has outstanding fines?
In some provinces, outstanding fines can block a licence renewal. We recommend checking and settling any outstanding fines before attempting to renew.
